As we count down to our 2026 Conference, taking place at UniSC Moreton Bay in Petrie February 9-11, the DiGRAA 2026 Local Organising Committee is thrilled to reveal the second keynote. In keeping with our focus on regional locations, it is more than fitting our second keynote to be announced is Kristy de Salas, Professor of Information and Communication Technology and Associate Head of Research at the University of Tasmania.
Kristy is a key and leading figure in video game research, production and education in Tasmania. A prominent advocate for the local tech industry, she has held numerous leadership positions, including the Chair of Tasmanian Game Makers and a board member for various creative and technology-focused organisations. Her expertise is frequently sought by government and industry bodies, including her role as an advisor to Screen Tasmania. In addition, she is a highly respected and talented educator and mentor. DiGRAA 2026 is very lucky to be able to host Professor de Salas, and the other keynotes, courtesy for our internal ACCELERATE grant.
To hear Professor Kristy de Salas, Professor Anjum Naweed and our yet-to-be-announced third keynote speak, make sure you register for DiGRAA 2026 by the deadline. January 9 is the last date to register for in-person attendance, so there is just over two months left! Please see this page for registration links, details and other information.
If you have already registered and opted to pre-order lunch, invoices will be sent in November.
The next update will reveal our third and final keynote and the conference program.
We are so looking forward to welcoming everyone to UniSC Moreton Bay!
